Trying to get it over with

I am a rip the Band-Aid off kind of girl.

Get it over with already...

So, the slow goodbyes are really hard for me.

It seems to me, that incremental pain

Hurts exponentially.

There are life lessons here I am sure. 

Underneath the feelings of disappointment 

and failure. 

and recovery. 

 

A Closer Look

Sometimes you have to look closely
to find the beauty and the peace.
Sadness today in Boston.
Stressful life anyway.
But still there was Cheshire cat moon
peeking from amid the cherry blossoms last evening.
And remembering simple things
like that can make a difference.

Please, be mine.

Oh, dear life,
Please be my valentine.
Let's kiss and make up.
Enough of this sadness and fighting.
Instead we can have big, sweet, sticky
times together again.

Making Sense of Senselessness

Sometimes no matter how much you want to understand why
you cannot make sense of senselessness
It is not like the movies
There is no time machine to go back and change the course
there is no sudden hero to save the day
no epiphany - just a choice in a dark, quiet moment
and then silence as the world keeps moving past
