Balancing act
I am working pretty hard to find a balance
between old and new, busy and still,
fun and effective, fast and slow,
excited and scared, energized and a bit weary.
But slowly things are becoming a bit more balanced. (a bit)

Tease
Oh new life,
You are teasing me with
So many possibilities
Now is the time to think
Carefully and not rush ahead
In a coffee induced haze
Hard to keep my focus.

making up your mind
Choose a path.
Point your nose in that direction
and go.
You won't know about the journey or the destination
until you leave and head off
somewhere.

As the year ends.
We are home for the quiet of a big city largely empty.
New years in Japan is a cleaning out, thoughtful, peaceful holiday.
A time to pause and consider.
There is much considering to do.
There is also much tea drinking, and doggie snuggling, and loitering and
lazing around to do. While I think about the future.

2 1/2 action packed years
When I think about the last two 1/2 years and try to figure out what has happened and what it all means, I come to the conclusion that more than any time in my recent past- this past 30 months have been all about doing stuff I had no idea how to do. Sometimes doing it successfully, sometimes not so much. But doing lots of learning all along the way. I have made some HUGE mistakes- and hopefully have learned from them. And I have pushed the boundaries of what I thought I could do. I hope I can keep doing that for as long as I am here.

Integration
December 12 – Body Integration- This year, when did you feel the most integrated with your body? Did you have a moment where there wasn’t mind and body, but simply a cohesive YOU, alive and present? (Author: Patrick Reynolds) #reverb10Honestly- this year I have felt out of synch a lot of the time. Moments of real integration were fleeting at best. A snuggle here, and quiet moment petting my new dog, a few brief seconds of stillness, a hug with my husband... but it has all been short lived, flashes only. Sometimes I feel very in the moment out walking but I still feel my body, heart and mind are not always working together.
Time to make a change.
integration a possible theme for 2011?
